Important announcement from Lightful Ltd - 19Dec25

From Lightful CEO & Co-Founder, Vinay Nair:

It’s with a heavy heart that I share this update.

Sadly, Lightful will no longer continue to operate beyond the early part of 2026.

For ten years, we’ve done everything we could to help smaller nonprofits build their resilience through digital, so they could create more equitable communities and a healthier planet.

But the mounting pressures of a volatile economic, social and political climate, resulting in an unrelenting wave of delayed decision-making across philanthropy, have made survival impossible.Despite extraordinary efforts by some of our clients, investors, board and team to help us navigate this period, we just haven’t been able to make it through.

To every one of our partners, thank you. Our amazing funders have enabled us to work with 3,900+ incredible nonprofits in 121 countries. Post-Covid. Gender Equality. Racial Equity. With Ukraine. Climate Action. And so much more. Amplifying stories to build trust - something the world desperately needs more of.

Unfortunately, the Lightful team is being made redundant. They are brilliant, talented, values-driven. From developers and designers to digital coaches, ops and partnerships. If you’re hiring, or know someone who is, please reach out.

FRP Advisory Trading Limited has been appointed to guide the company through the insolvency process. If you need to contact them regarding any matters, please contact Luke.Mahoney@frpadvisory.com and Jacob.Spurge@frpadvisory.com.

The Lightful office is now closed until 5th January 2026. Please get in touch in the new year if you’d like to connect, as we finalise elements at Lightful - vinay@lightful.com | support@lightful.com

Thank you for everything.

With gratitude,

Vinay

Digital Resilience in Action: Life Lifters Kenya’s journey through BRIDGE

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, the ability to engage online is a necessity. For nonprofits, especially those working in underserved regions or tackling complex social issues, digital tools can be the bridge between intention and impact. Whether it’s reaching new donors, advocating for policy change, or delivering services, digital capacity enables organisations to scale their mission and deepen their impact. Yet many grassroots organisations remain digitally under-resourced. That’s why Lightful created the BRIDGE programme - Building Resilience in Digital Growth and Engagement - to empower nonprofits with the skills, confidence, and strategies to thrive in the digital age and build lasting change.
